Robin Wellner

From Robin’s website: “I am an artist.  It’s taken me a long time to finally say that—66 years to be exact. But I love to paint. People, landscapes, still lifes, dogs, etc. I love the discovery of what happens with colors, light, brushstrokes…bottom line is it makes me happy. I’m hoping that some of my paintings will give you some joy as well[…]I went to college in Fine Arts ages ago but did not pursue it as a career.  Everything but—graphics, stained glass, silk screening, hand painted clothing, faux finishing and murals. But in the last 15 years I’ve come back to  painting. I’ve worked with a number of amazing teachers who taught and inspired me. I think it’s a never ending process—always something to learn. And what a fun process it is!!!”

Robin also likes to pass on this fun and joy to others. She teaches a number of different workshops and classes, citing her love at seeing the excitement in her students as a driving force to holding these classes.

Robin’s works are full of light and vibrant color, and her joy and love for the world around her seeps out from every painting. Her strokes and forms are powerful and energetic, lending movement and texture to her works. Her landscapes are seemingly simple yet captivating and her portrait work tender and gripping.
